Founded By an Overwhelmed Mom

Hi! I’m Cheryl, overwhelmed mom of 3.

For years, I spent stressed nights throwing together last-minute costumes to fit every dress-up day that popped up at my kiddos’ school. I joked time after time that I wished a school supply box just for all these days existed… until one day I decided that, for the sake of overwhelmed parents everywhere, I needed to make it happen.

And so, The Spirit Box was born… and it changed everything! Gone were the feelings of overwhelm, guilt (if I ever had to skip a theme day), or resentment for all the extra work or too-late notice.

Instead, my kids and I just have fun… and I save all my extra energy for the never-ending practices, rehearsals, homework, games, projects, lessons, parties, holidays…

When I’m not busy with Spirit Box, I run three recipe websites: 40 Aprons, Easy Healthy Recipes, and Easy Cheap Recipes. I’m also the founder and president of virtual assistant agency, 40A., and I help make our short-term rentals (one in Midtown Memphis and one in Santa Rosa Beach, right on 30A!) run smoothly.
